Broken Rainbow Cornwall is a registered charity dedicated to giving a supportive non-judgemental approach to tackling the problems of same sex domestic abuse. We are committed to challenging homophobia, bi-phobia, transphobia and the bullying behaviours that stem from these. Set up initially in 2003 the project now has a project manager, management committee and Trustees and is based at offices in Cornwall. The team has a great deal of experience in dealing with the effects of domestic abuse and prejudice. In parallel we are widening the service to the LGBT community suffering bullying based on their sexual preference or struggling with LGBT life in Cornwall. The Helpline is truly confidential and free to call. The contact details are here and are also on our profile, we also have a website and e-mail address for contact in a way that best suits the person wanting to talk. Broken Rainbow works closely with a number of partner organisations such as the women’s refuge, women’s aid and Cornwall domestic violence forum. We also have links with other social and support groups and provide input to the police in dealing with LGBT issues and the concerns of the LGBT community in Cornwall.
